+ I haven't been around much this week! Well, unless you're on Twitter and/or tumblr (read: things I can do in 20-second bursts), you wouldn't have seen me. When I haven't been doing actual RL work, I've been working on overdue fic, wibbling about overdue fic, wibbling some more, writing a little bit more, distracting myself, rinse, repeat, blah blah. Hopefully I can submit one this afternoon, we'll see.

+ After work I'm going down to hang out with seakisst and bratkartoffel at Sara's place in Vienna (if I can manage to find my way there without losing myself). We're going to drink butterbeer because we're nerds.

+ Won't be home to watch Merls until late tomorrow, but I still anticipate posting about it when I can and jumping into the comm threads late. Only two episodes left and my Saturdays will be my own again, even though they will be way more sad. Luckily there will still be Fleet parties.

+ I have lots and lots of feelings about the last two episodes of Glee: part squee about the kids (Quinn! Rachel! Brittany! Mercedes!), part squee-harshy ranting about the adults (bar Sue), the fail, and how the show keeps trying to tell me who the best singers are and I keep disagreeing. :/ It's probably for the best that I don't have time to make a reax post, huh? *g* (First of many things, Will legit scares me. No, seriously. DISCUSS IN COMMENTS IF YOU WISH.)

+ Also, yesterday out of curiosity and the fact I am firmly in procrastination-mode, I watched Misfits, that new ~Skins-meets-Heroes~ crossover thing on E4? (I was warned, and yet.) OMG WHOSE IDEA WAS THAT. WHO GREENLIGHTED THAT. WHO ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. OH MY GOD. It may qualify as the single most offensive television program I have ever seen. I'm warning you now, don't touch it. Heed this warning as I failed to heed it. Others have described why better than I can.

Guess who wrote and created it, I notice? Howard Overman. The same Howard Overman who occasionally writes for Merlin. He's written good episodes of Merlin, I would add. idek.

+ Did I mention I'm in procrastination mode? Smutty Claus in a week, Camelot Solstice the week after that. Someone please, kick me in the ass. No, seriously.

+ I am SO NOT HAPPY with Bank of America right now. Up till last week I've not had problems, but all of a sudden, fail all over the place, on top of fail, with a side of fail. I don't even have the energy to go into details, but the fuckers can't manage to get anything right on the mortgage end, the checking end, or the credit card end, and now they've raised the interest rate on my damn card for no fucking reason. I'm not charging another goddamned thing, and I can't pay it off soon enough. Argh.

+ Being a grownup sucks.

+ If any of you catch me talking about signing up another fic exchange except for smutty_claus in November, and maybe hermione_smut if that happens again, STOP ME. For serious. I'm not talking about fairly open-ended fic-a-thons, or relatively loose commitments like big bangs, or the odd fic challenge here and there, all of which are on me and for me, and if I get to them, great. I'm talking about exchanges, where I'm writing to an assignment, for another person, with deadlines, wherein my muse always freaking fails me until the last minute because apparently that's how I work.

The hell of it is, I actually kind of like what I wrote for this one. But I'm still done.

+ Fucking hell.

+ Dollhouse might get a second season? If this happens I will be shocked at first, and then I will be bouncy. :D I need a Sierra icon.

+ I have been watching SGA. I... don't know why; I've never really been into it before. TV fandoms are strange; I suppose because they're so small, you see a lot of the same people across fandoms, and a lot of Merlin fen came over from SGA so I guess you could say I was curious. Anyway, I'm a third of the way through season 1. I'm not really getting into the fandom for it, because I hear it's mostly McShep (and also wank), but I kind of like the show, so far. I love Teyla first, Elizabeth next. (Also, apparently I am destined to like television shows where half my het ships are part of the fandom's biggest slash ships and are therefore rarely going to ever be written or spoken about. LOL. Which is not to say that I dislike McShep, but still.) *pokes around for some fic anyway; will settle for gen* I guess pretty soon I will be trying BSG, too? Bzuh.

+ Also! Started watching Big Bang Theory. WIN. Win, win, win.

+ Moar TV stuff -- I'm all caught up with Legend of the Seeker. Very entertaining! It's kept me watching; and I love Kahlan. She is so fierce I can't take it. Slow-motion fight sequences and kick-ass women FTW. But it's a difficult show to ship in because there are so few characters and Richard doesn't really do it for me. Might be the weird American accent.

+ Made some progress on my hp_rarities fic this weekend. *\o/* And I have a Merlin fic due that I may or may not get to; we'll see. *crosses fingers*

+ Happy Pi Day, bbs! I am CRAVING pie. This is how big a nerd I am (also, I just like pie). I think I'm going to go get some even though I've been gone all day and forgot to pick some up when I was out.

+ My hp_spring_fling fic is pwned, if a bit overdue. Next is my Ladies of Camelot AU fic, Morgana's POV, set post-Moment of Truth. (I've got to get over my nerves when it comes to writing Merlin fic in general, btw. Just new fandom wibbles, I guess. *looks at started fics on hard drive* I do fine with HP; it really shouldn't be all that scary. *eyerolls at self*)

+ I'm redoing my layout while I have time. No moar yellow. And, I think, no moar Tom and Joe. 'Bye for now, pretties.

+ Look upon my new icon and squee, people. I really need to catch up on Supernatural. And Skins. I got a chance to catch Smallville on Thursday though, and god ... I really wish I knew how to quit that show. *headdesk* It's Tom. He won't let me look away. -_-'

* Today's been good. I have nothing planned except to watch the Oscars, so I wouldn't exactly call it exciting, but just ... it's nice not having anything pressure-ful to do. XD

* I caught up with the last ep of Being Human which was AMAZING; seriously, you should all be watching. Only one episode left. And I posted a set of icons from 1x04 that I made last night. It's kind of hard to color those caps, but I found a nice way I think.

* Oh, and my hp_springsmut fic is pwned (why yes, I did finish the fucking in the fic). Two more exchange fics left for this season. I was really tempted by weasleyfest, but I'd already bit off a bit too much with hp_spring_fling and hp_rarities. :( No more doing three and four exchanges at a time. Yeah. I love them, but I've recently realised how nice it is being able to write something just because I want to, rather than just filling a request, so I want to give myself more time to do that.

* Merlin fic! I'm sort of incredibly nervous to start writing in this fandom, but it's really difficult to watch the show and NOT want to write about it. The characters are just so writeable. (And this is apparently the post where I make up words). I did some teenyfics for the Vag Fest, which was fun -- I might do one or two more before it ends today. And I want to try some of the Gen Battle prompts. There are some good Merlin and Harry Potter ones, and that one ends next Friday. Also, I'm tempted to put my hat in for boxofmagic because Arthur/Merlin is nice, but there needs to be more Gwen and Morgana fic, and so few people have signed up to write it. *nods and nudges people* Still, it's a rather huge writing commitment, so I need to think on it more. XD

* I'm off to do some beta work, maybe try another teenyfic, and put together a Merlin squee/rec list out of my del.icio.us bookmarks because I finally have TIME.

* My three-day weekend passed entirely too quickly. LOL. I spent some time writing, even though I still couldn't manage to finish my Springsmut fic. That'll get done tonight, hopefully. There's just the matter of the actual smut to attend to. XD

* Yesterday was fun! Went out with cloverdew and bratkartoffel for Vietnamese and to see Coraline. Coraline was completely lovely; I'd definitely recommend it. Adorable and slightly creepy at the same time, and beautifully animated and acted. I now want to check out the book asap.

* Another thing I'd recommend from yesterday: The Apple Chai from Starbucks. I never really go to Starbucks b/c I don't do coffee unless I'm extremely sleepy, and it's expensive, but I could be persuaded to go back for the apple chai (which is obviously not coffee, lol). Sweet spicy goodness.

* I'm still obsessed with Merlin; it's crack, but it's definitely the good crack. I'll explain later. And there's some awesome fanwork! What a great fandom. I've been compiling a list of recs that I'll post soon. Once I'm done with exchange fics, I'll be trying some Merlin fic of my own, because there's not enough girl!fic out there. I'll have to pitch in. *nod* This might be a fandom where I'm actually more comfortable writing girls than boys (I KNOW.) We'll see. I love all four main characters to bits.
