i feel stupid, and contagious

Random stuff:

+ I am kind of weirded out/impressed/geeking out about this 10-minute abridged version of the Google Wave demonstration on YouTube. It looks ... shiny. And a bit freaky at the same time. Being able to see what the other person is saying as they type it letter-by-letter. Being able to hold a group chat and hide some replies from some users within the same chat. That real-time automatic translator thing. Syncing with Twitter. (LOL @ 'Twave'.) A lot more cool, largely unnecessary, probably-hard-to-get-used-to but still COOL stuff. I should like to try it out. XD /nerd

+ I just left a load of prompts for oxoniensis's Porn Battle VIII. Go! leave some!

+ Speaking of prompts, I am FULL of fic ideas -- Trek, Merlin, and HP -- but nothing has made it to completion yet. *browses folder of started fics and frowns* Actually finishing one would be lovely. I am currently playing with Uhura/Gaila genfic and Kirk/McCoy kidfic, hermionebigbang Trio fic, and Gwen-centric boxofmagic fic of as-yet-unknown pairing. *headdesk* It's still gen at the moment; maybe it'll stay that way. I'm seriously not sure if I'll get that done in time, but I'll finish and post it either way. It'll be nice to finish something long for Merlin fandom.

+ I get distracted too easily. Maybe I should do one of those fandom to-do lists.

+ Cassie Hannah Murray as Matt Smith's companion? LOL, they must be trying to start wank. People whined because they thought Matt was too young and Hannah's nineteen ... still, if this happens, it might make me poke my head back into that fandom, like I did for Freema. :P

To be honest, I can't see it happening, but it would be better than Kelly Brook or Lily Allen.

+ I got yet another boxofmagic idea while driving to work this morning, and I think this might be the one. XD It's weird, and I don't know what the pairing(s) will turn out to be, though.

+ Come leave some prompts for some of our hermionebigbang authors to pick over! Hermione-centric, gen, crossover, or shippy bunnies all welcome, for adoption, feeding, or breeding purposes. Whether or not you're participating there must be something you want to see. ;)

+ Question: There's been random friending by Russian journals and empty accounts, and various other weirdness happening here and elsewhere on LJ, so I'm thinking of friends-locking my journal (except for the fic and icons). Of curiosity, why do you guys lock your journals or if you don't what made you decide not to? (Just generally speaking; obvs I don't need to know exactly what caused the decision. :P) I've thought about it a couple times before, but haven't ever gone through with it. I hesitate because ... well, I don't know. I just don't like the idea of locking everything down and I don't have a lot of personal stuff on here, and yet, recent happenings are making me consider it.

How about a proper, less-whiny post, hm? ;) I've got the day off, so not much to complain about overall.

+ hpvalensmut reveals are up, so go check out the fics! I did Hermione/Luna, which was my first go at femmeslash (obviously I liked it, 'cos I now have two rather epic femmeslash fics in the pipeline. XD) Also, hp_springsmut started posting yesterday, and it promises to be awesome.

+ Also in the potentially-epic category, I'm bouncy about the Hermione Big Bang (which we were able to put together quite quickly, considering -- clearly that's because Inell, Flora, and Mary kick ass), and I already know just what I want to write for it even if I've got thelittlebang and boxofmagic that are more immediately pressing in terms of deadlines.

+ Speaking of boxofmagic, I know a few of you on my flist are doing it too -- and I hope this goes without saying, but just in case it doesn't, I'm here if you guys need a sounding board or a cheerleader or a shoulder to whine on, or anything like that. A couple of you've been lovely enough to offer the same to me, which means a lot because I'm still getting my feet wet in this fandom. ♥ SO. ANYTHING YOU NEED, K? No matter what pairing.
