I never do these memes, but what the hell. Anything you wish I wrote more/any of? NOW'S YOUR CHANCE. XP Will probably be going through all of yours tomorrow.

The "You Should Write..." Meme!
my thread here

Also, you guys, I have like nothing to say lately. LOL. Work's been busy and I've been fairly useless otherwise. Might be time to schedule a vacation, before classes start up again.

I've been reading all of your entries, though -- hope everyone's well, and hugs to all who need them. ♥♥♥

How about a rare display of negativity, hm? I'm due.

+ I am SO NOT HAPPY with Bank of America right now. Up till last week I've not had problems, but all of a sudden, fail all over the place, on top of fail, with a side of fail. I don't even have the energy to go into details, but the fuckers can't manage to get anything right on the mortgage end, the checking end, or the credit card end, and now they've raised the interest rate on my damn card for no fucking reason. I'm not charging another goddamned thing, and I can't pay it off soon enough. Argh.

+ Being a grownup sucks.

+ If any of you catch me talking about signing up another fic exchange except for [livejournal.com profile] smutty_claus in November, and maybe [livejournal.com profile] hermione_smut if that happens again, STOP ME. For serious. I'm not talking about fairly open-ended fic-a-thons, or relatively loose commitments like big bangs, or the odd fic challenge here and there, all of which are on me and for me, and if I get to them, great. I'm talking about exchanges, where I'm writing to an assignment, for another person, with deadlines, wherein my muse always freaking fails me until the last minute because apparently that's how I work.

The hell of it is, I actually kind of like what I wrote for this one. But I'm still done.

+ Fucking hell.

+ I didn't get any writing done last night. *sigh* In my defense, I didn't get in until around 9pm, but still. This whole block thing? Not fun; I don't suggest any of you try it. Maybe once I'm clear of my exam next week I'll be able to focus better. Meanwhile, [livejournal.com profile] hp_rarities has got to happen tonight, considering that I'll be preparing for my exam later in the week. If any of you see me online - if I pop up on YM, or if I comment on your journal, scold me. Don't be afraid to be firm.

+ Part of this block might be because of my inability to put down the SGA, HP, and Merlin fanfiction. Admitting that I have a problem is the first step.

+ I left Bingley in his pen all night, and he whined for most of it. *sigh* I feel like I'm punishing him when he's really perfectly well-behaved upstairs with me, but then again, it only took two days for me to tire of him peeing in inappropriate places, so structure is good.

+ Meh, that's all. I'm mostly watching the last half-hour of my workday trudge by.

*pouts*

My job didn't close or even delay.

I always feel like the biggest putz, waking up when it snows and pouncing on the phone to call the inclement weather line so they can be all "LOLz, sucker. See you at 8:30."

*looks out the window and sighs* I don't think I'm going to go in. It's 32 miles one way, and they'll end up letting us go early anyway.

So this whole Christmas tree thing? SO much more complicated than it needs to be. My own fault, of course.

I'm pretty sure the tree I got was meant to be put into the ground and not into a stand in my living room. It came with the trunk buried in dirt and wrapped in this burlap stuff. I thought, at the store, 'fine, it's buried in dirt so they can water it before it gets sold. I'll just take it out of the dirt when I get home and set it up. This is the supermarket, they wouldn't make it that complicated.'

Uh, yes, they would. The roots and everything? Definitely still on the tree. I had to buy a saw and chop them all off, and am now trying to taper the end so it'll sit in the stand without looking like the leaning tree of Pisa or something. And my lower back and arms are sore. If I'd wanted to pluck an evergreen out of the ground and deal with it from scratch, I could have done so without spending $45. My parents have some teeny ones at their house I think.

*whines* See, if I had my own Neville, this wouldn't be a problem.

At least my whole house smells like pine now. Come to that, so do I.

Oh well, at least I'll know for next year, and get one that's actually pre-cut.

...

Don't laugh; it's not funny. XP

Hee. I haven't laughed this much while taking a quiz in a while, and after my day I kind of needed a laugh. Highly recommended. lulz.

Slytherin Mary Sue Meme-thingy )

**In other news, I checked out Twilight recently, just to see what all the fuss is about. Have yet to read it so I guess we'll see. A brief flip-through tells me I shan't need more than an hour or two to read it, so.

**One of my front tires blew out on my way home from work today. A huge shout-out to the two dudes who both stopped to help me change it after I pulled over. I drove on the spare to VoldieMart to get a new tire, and the other three also need replaced, which I'll have to see to next week. Ah, unexpected expenses, how I love hate thee. But really, it could have been far worse, so I'll not complain much. :)

**I have next week off. The whole of it. *bounces around* Haven't had a vacation since I started my current job in March 06 so, yeah. I need a break.

**I also need to write. head/desk=OTP.

I hope you all are having a great week so far. *hugs*
