** Update on the Tree Saga: Actually nothing, it's all decorated now and looks pretty good if I can say so. ;)

** I signed up for hp_springsmut. Eeep! I thought, at one point, I was resisting exchanges. Huh. Anyway! Signups are here. There's all this next-gen slash and that's cool, but more representation from the Hermione rarepairs would be awesome. :D And Seamus and Neville. *nod* Actually, Harry could use some love too. Whatever; go sign up for whomever you want. :P

** Speaking of writing, things are kind of piling up on me. At least they're not all fest things, more like holiday fics and other things I want to write that I must find time for before my muse decides to take any overseas trips.

** I might have had caffeine.

** That hamster/popcorn/piano video is adorable and all, but toward the end I started to wonder why the guy kept trying to flip him over. D: The hamster looks so content with his popcorn; they should have left him to nibble in peace. (btw, if you click that link, turn the sound off or you risk getting a supremely annoying song in your head, just sayin'.)

Good luck with hp_springsmut! I think I should probably stay away from fests/exchanges. I can't write anything except RP any more. And, you know, my life tends to get crazy at unexpected times. Sigh.

...careful what you wish for there, on a rarepairs exchange; you'll wind up with a bunch of like, Harry/Greyback dubcon, Harry/McGonagall voyeurism porn, and Harry/Filch mpreg.

I hasten to add, to the best of my occasionally spotty recollection, I have never written any of those things.

Everybody always thinks they are going to resist exchanges, but then...somehow it doesn't always happen. Or maybe that's just me. Either way I signed up for Springsmut last night against my better judgement. I might be going the non-Hermione route in my exchanges this year for a change, but I was glad to see you there, ha. There are not that many uh...nice 'normal' requests there - and even less het. A little scared about what I'll be assigned to write this year honestly since I glanced over some of the signups.

And yeah...holiday fics. I had good intentions, and all mine are unfortunately holiday prompts, but I've managed only one so far *snort*. If I can actually finish yuletide I'll maybe get to them before the New Year. Maybe I shouldn't have mocked you for the inability to finish :-P though I at least managed the last go around.

Now if only the Christmas shopping would do itself and I wouldn't have to go to work, ha.

Hah! *clings* I'm more than a bit nervous about what I'll be assigned. The more people sign up, the more the het-quotient seems to drop -- mind you, I'm totally okay with branching out and writing slash and femme, and even requested a bit of both, but when we're talking Harry/Teddy, or Draco/Rose ... well, now that's just not going to work, is it? :P Still, I see some non-next gen things that I can definitely work with so you never know.

But we can wibble together. *nod* I'm glad Inell signed up too, in case I need another wibbling partner. At least the turnaround looks like it'll be pretty quick so we'll know by the weekend or next week.
