i feel stupid, and contagious

Hey, all. I just wanted to point to some of the fics I especially liked from a few of the exchange communities I'm watching, sunandsmut  and reversathon . :D You guys should all watch as they cover a lot of different pairings and characters and there's some really good writing happening.

One I particularly enjoyed from sunandsmut  was Shelter. It's actually Viktor/Luna, which I'd never read before, and actually, I don't really envision Viktor with anyone but Hermione, but the characterisations of Viktor and Luna, as well as the overall story, are just lovely. It's 8352 words and definitely worth the read.

For the Blaise lovers on my f-list, there's a completely gorgeous piece posted at reversathon , The Choices We Make. It's beautifully written, gripping, and full of Zabini goodness. (!!!!)

Also at reversathon , two lovely Bill/Hermione fics, One Hell of a Woman, and Taking the Lead. Bill/Hermione is a recent love of mine, and these two stories are just full of UST, emotion, and great characterisation -- not to mention very inventive plots.

These exchanges are anonymous, so the authors will be revealed later.

On the Harry/Hermione (OTP OMG) front -- and I've been remiss for not mentioning these sooner:

January, by Musca  (she's kundalakesi  here on LJ). God, her writing makes me giddy and imo she's one of the most underrated authors writing H/Hr right now.
Bridges, by Lorien829. OMG. Just lovely and angsty and utterly gripping, as are all of her stories.

On a related note, my OTPers out there should all be watching hghpficexchange . -nods- I'm looking forward to reading some good h/hr once posting starts for that.

ETA: Oh! While I'm pimping, the MODs over at stoatshead_hill  are looking to recast a few characters, including Hannah Abbott, Gabrielle Delacour, Adrian Pucey, and Alastor Moody (to name a few). Here's the list of open characters, so you can check out their backstories and such.

Okay, first, I have to point to this ficlet that zuzuspetalwrote over at shh_watchers! It's her first fic, so all of you who were so wonderful when I wrote my first one and felt like an utter hack should go forth and read this! It's lovely and so flattering because it was inspired by Roger and Hermione at stoatshead_hill!

Second thing: stoatshead_hillis looking to cast a new Seamus and Fleur! Seamus is a great character, and there are lots of ways to develop him. He has a backstory, so it would need to be respected, but actually, right now, he's at a bit of a turning point and is able to start over in a lot of ways. And Fleur, well. Fleur is such a lovely character, and we need her! So if you're interested, apply!
