Dying Star
No, this is not a depressing post. :D But
This weekend they (yes, the infamous They, but in this case a bunch of physicists in Australia) discovered a dying star, the bipolar Red Square Nebula. It's notable because it's almost perfectly symmetrical in its death.
And I thought the image was pretty, besides making me geek out a little. *g*

This star, of course, is dying, and will eventually collapse and explode, but you know, not for a while. :D

Star's beautiful in kind of a morose way, knowing that it's brilliance is caused by it's death.
