iphone stuff
Jun. 8th, 2009 03:34 pmWatched the demo for the new iphone (3GS) on my lunch break. Very very shiny! Except it looks, acts, and sounds like the very very shiny iphone that I already have. XP Same design. The most significant 'new' feature is video capture, which I don't care too much about and which I can get on my current iPhone anyway if I jailbreak it like my coworker did his, but that would be wrong wrong illegal wrong etc.
Also, next year you know there'll be a whole new generation iphone that's actually different -- it'd be wiser for me to wait for that. For new customers and 2G users it's pretty cool, though.
(Apple sucks, by the way. They make such shiny hardware and market it so well. The only catch is that you are chained to it for life, with all their upgrades and the crap that they make you buy. There's literally no functional, technological reason the current iPhone 3G shouldn't be able to do all this 'upgraded' stuff - they've only just now decided to unlock it.)
However, I am muchly excited about the new operating system that will let me copy/paste and do multi-media messaging, as well as faster javascript loading and video streaming -- and that upgrade is free. *g*
