I was pretty pessimistic going into this, but that speech kicked ASS.
Thank you, Mr. President, for framing health care reform as the moral imperative it absolutely is.
And I'm sorry, but can anyone remember a President EVER being heckled by a member of Congress while addressing a joint session of Congress? The level of disrespect shown for a sitting President is unprecedented. (Yes, I am looking at you, Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina (who can be emailed here, and reached at (803) 939-0041, (843) 521-2530, and (202) 225-2452). Here's the name of the guy who's running against him.)
