So, what to talk about ... how about random shit? I'm good at that. :D

** Well, about five minutes ago, I checked my userinfo and found that it's different; kind of a lot. Interesting. I'm not altogether sure I like it, but I'm sure it's just a matter of getting used to it. What do you all think? It's a bit smoother-looking, which isn't bad.

** I did read something in news about LJ possibly introducing some kind of a la carte option for buying userpic space. Does this mean I can get a whole hell of a lot of icons? We'll see. I'll keep you posted, because when and if there is more icon space, that is definitely reason for me to squee about it here.

** I'm kind of obsessed with Bloc Party's latest album, Intimacy. Can't stop listening to it. Not as good as their first album, and I don't love every song, but I still like how romantic and sort of vulnerable they sound even when they're uptempo and frenetic.

** So my company just renewed their contract with the NIH and did this big celebration staff party thing today off campus. Free food = good. There was also free alcohol, and for some reason it felt weird drinking in front of my boss. :P I only had a few sips. I think it's an age thing; my last boss was closer to my age (he was 27; I was 22), and he'd take us for happy hour sometimes, and I never felt odd.

** My coworker just got himself a brand-new iPhone, and let me tell you, that shit is shiny. *whines* I really, really want one. But even if I had an extra $200 lying around for the phone itself, the plan is just too expensive for me and I don't like that I'd have to switch to AT&T. On top of the voice plan, you have to shell out an extra $30 a month for the data transfer plan if you want to get online at all. At least according to him. It's kind of ridiculous, and I have a new car payment. So that's that. :P

I want iPod touch soooooooooooo badly. Ugh. I can't afford the plan for the iPhone, either. Eeek.

I don't like how my LJ title isn't immediately visible anymore. It's so tiny. Bah.

I have a regular ipod which I love, so I don't think I'd upgrade just for the touch thingy. But the combination of the touch thingy and a smartphone is really hard to resist. :P

Not happy with the profile. The html codes are all messed. And the 'funny' thing is that when it was on beta, everything was working fine...:/

Ah...iPhone...here is about U$600- so sad:( Not to mention the *extras*). But me wants one too. It's so pretty... But I still love my old iPod (*pets*)

Pretty much indie rock. British. I've heard them described as post-punk. Also has a lot of electronic/new wave elements. IDK. :D I've been into them since their first album in 2005.

Haven't listened to the new Block Party album. Or wait, has it been out for awhile? I think I remember the newer one and thinking it was good but not epic. Or, I could be totally off my game.

You should get an iphone. Mine is essential and I adore it.

I'm totally jealous of your iPhone. I have iPhone envy. But then, like Heather, I probably couldn't afford to pay for the data plan, which kinda makes it a moot point. Although, I would LOOOOOVE to have iCal on my phone and computer (which syncs with google calendar) cuz google is my life and so is Mac and the combo is just ♥!!!

Well, I found that I pay about $15 more a month with my at&t plan then I was paying with Verizon. Granted, my plan is the $60 a month one as I was in before they went wonky on the prices. And yes, google + ical + iphone + mac = win.

It was released 10/28. I think this one is not as epic as Silent Alarm, the first one. Last year's Weekend in the City is one I would describe as good but not epic.

Intimacy's probably between the two in terms of epicness. :P It has a couple misses but then some that I can't stop listening to.
