Adventures in Blogging #22

Gah, I missed my post for yesterday.

Oh, well. :P

Anyway, it's late and I'm kind of bored but not motivated to do much to change that. So, I'm watching The West Wing.

Also, I think I'm the only person on my flist (at least out of the ones who've read Twilight), who hasn't seen the movie yet and isn't even considering it. I don't know, ya'll ... there just aren't enough lulz in the world to make me drop nine bucks on something I know will be bad. Maybe if I weren't paying for it, it'd be different. And if I'd liked the books on any level, of course I'd see it, but I feel like Meyer hasn't earned my money.

She has chagrined my dazzle.

'Course, maybe I'm just cheap. ;) I do think Slumdog Millionaire would be a better way to spend my money, but it's not playing near me.

Now there's going to be a sequel, and the madness will never end.

*Hasn't seen it yet*

I don't really have $8.75 (price here) to go watch Twilight for the LULZ. *shrugs*

Same, I'd go for the laughs, but the paying for a giggle or three isn't enough for me. I'll wait for tv.

You're not cheap, just intelligent.

I can not in any way justify spending money to see Twilight. I will wait until either someone pays for me to rent it or it comes out on cable. I do not condone SMeyer's portrayal of women or relationships and, after giving up on Breaking Dawn halfway through, I'm not sure that I can even go back to read the books. I'm still ashamed to say that I actually enjoyed most of the first three books. :/

Heee, can I be both cheap and intelligent? ;) I don't mind being cheap.

I can't say everyone who sees it isn't intelligent. Most people I know who are seeing it know that it's bad, but want to go have a laugh, or they want to see RPattz. Which is cool; I've seen movies for worse reasons. :P But for me I don't think the laughs are worth paying for, and I think RPattz looks like a girl, so I'm just a buzzkill all round. LOL!

You're not the only one. I haven't seen it either. No offense to Twilight-lovers everywhere, but the books just did not work for me on any level, so I'm definitely not in a hurry to see the movie.

I also haven't seen it yet, and I'm still not sure if I'll spend any money going to the theater. I might wait for it to come out on DVD, just to satiate my morbid curiosity (I've read a bunch of reviews on my f-list and, even though there are mixed opinions, the scale is tipping to BAD) :P

RPattz dazzles me, but SMeyer not.

The only movie I've bothered to see recently in theatres is Bond, James Bond - and the only one I will for a long time (and I was even iffy on that - and trust me, Daniel Craig has earned my well earned money ;) ). Not that I won't see Twilight for the lulz (and if you read any reviews there are a lot of them apparently), I will, but in....acqured *nudge nudge* fashion. If nothing else I can't imagine actually seriously suggesting to anybody that we go see that when we go out. I do have my pride :D

What can I say though, I am curious how they will portray the 'sparkle'. All I keep picturing are the manfucatured LJ icons and pics, lol.

Well, even I can't say I won't see it at some point, in some kind of way. *wink*

;)

We had fun, and it's not like we get out much. I'm glad I went and saw it, and Ben actually is too. I figure you can enjoy things for what they are, and then be done with them. Twilight is a fad, and I've enjoyed (sort of) it for a bit, and now as far as I'm concerned it's finished.

Every now and then you have to stop and smell the roses, as pathetic and lame as they may be. ;)

Hee! ♥ Don't get me wrong; I know what you mean -- I have a lot of guilty pleasures and enjoy many things that people think are lame (even when I also know they're lame, lol). And I know the film will be funny, however unintentionally, but I'll probably still smell these particular roses for free. ;)

I'm just ready for this fad to go away. LOL.

Yeah, I think Twilight's the movie that I'll rent at those $1 rental machines at the grocery store several months from now when I've had a bad date or am seriously hormonal. Until then...I'm trying to resist.

Come to NY and see Slumdog! It was sold out Friday so I'm seeing it this afternoon. Coooome.

I haven´t seen it too. The film won´t be here till January and makes me feel ridiculous hehehe

I´m waiting for a blessed soul to upload a camera version somewhere.
