Adventures in Blogging #4
Well, I voted. :D In my little tiny town, I had about a half-hour wait. We had paper ballots, for which I was glad -- I think the electronic machines are cool; I used one when I voted in 2004 in MD, but they've been more trouble than they're worth. I think they should go back to paper ballots everywhere. Anyway, not a long wait overall, and I loved doing it. You know, I hate that people around the country are going to be waiting in really long lines today, and I think as a country we can do better than that. But it does give me warm civics fuzzies to see so many people wrapped around buildings and standing in line to exercise a precious right. I hope all of you who can will get out and vote.
It's hard to believe Election Day is already here (last week, I thought it would never get here, lol). I'm sort of tempted to glue myself to CNN all day, but that's no way to spend my birthday. LOL! I'm skipping class this evening, of course, so I'm going to finish my homework assignment and email it to my professor, and then I'm going to the campaign office to do something productive and pass the time. This afternoon, I'll settle in to wait.
I expect you guys to have distraction fic for me to read and memes for me to do later. *giggle* ♥ I don't know if I'll be able to focus on RP.
They didn't hand out the little stickers. I got them at the polling places in MD, so I'm a little sad about that. Anyway, in lieu of that:

I just had to drop in and say that because I know apart from the fact that this is your birthday, I know that election day is important to you as well.
So happy birthday!!!!
(I hope Obama wins!!!!!)
On a side note, the voting center in my area is actually situation in our condo complex. XD So there's absolutely no excuse not to vote if we can! I've been buggering my husband to vote; he'll do it. Or I'll strangle him.
