Summary: All Harry needed was a wake-up call. When he gets it, though, Hermione just might not know what hit her. EXCERPT: Chapter 5- "Harry nearly snarled. It had been a long day already, and the last thing he’d ever expected was to find Draco-bleeding-Malfoy standing out here on the street. To think; not ten minutes ago, he’d been inside in the warmth, on the couch, about to ‘make up’ with Hermione. And now Malfoy was out here being cheeky? Forget it. "R for sex and mild language.


I've finally updated. Sorry it took so long, guys. I just...had trouble with it. (Funny that I wasn't having trouble with it while I should have been studying for exams, but that isn't the point.)

Anyway, great news! This would be my first beta-ed chapter. I'm thrilled, especially because I felt like an utter hack and needed all the help I could get. So thanks, very much, to castledown, who checked up on my phrasing, dialogue, stylistic details- and he even brit-picked it. He's great, and I want to also wish him luck on his interview today. ^_^

Guys, I feel like my inexperience and overall green-ness comes through loud and clear with this chapter, especially before Jim got his hands on it, so I really hope you liked what I did with it. (Thank you again, Jim.)

I really think you've done well on this chapter. The dialogue is engaging and well-characterised, and the plot is nicely developed. Really, you're being overly critical of yourself :)

As always, I'm very much enjoying this story. Thank you for the shouts on PK and here (and it's really no trouble, your stories are a pleasure to beta compared to some of the hippogriff dung I've been sent before).
