What a wonderful photo essay, thank you for the link. Though why do US states = nations that are not US? Never mind, don't answer that!

I was once told an anecdote by a development worker about twenty years ago. A male advisor went to Tanzania or Mozambique (can't remember which) to provide some kind of farming training/devlopment aid but the local women wouldn't take him seriously or listen to him. It turned out they doubted he knew anything about farming because, in their experience, women worked while men sat about under trees all day. It did make us laugh and laugh. And then not.
