Past-Due Updates and a Meme

Just a few things, since, once again, I've not posted in awhile. *hides*

It has been bitterly, freeze-my-face-off cold outside this week. How dare it be cold in winter!! I was gettting used to unseasonably warm temperatures.

*frowns* I still can't write anything outside of RP, and it's starting to get on my nerves, because I have the time, I just...can't right now.

Smallville and Grey's Anatomy tonight, and previews look great for both. I can't fangirl Grey's anatomy enough, seriously.

I have a Tom Welling moodtheme now, have had it for a little while, but I'm lazy about posting, so there you are. Thanks thanks thanks to Melissa for installing it, as I couldn't get it right at first.
Note: I used Tom's 'bouncy' moodtheme, because I think it's adorable. Not really bouncy at all today, though. Been sort of weepy and down. I don't really know why.

Yay, for Stoatshead Hill . I never thought I'd end up playing three characters, but now I am. Say hello to my little friends:

Roger Davies             Luna Lovegood          Draco Malfoy

I love my fictional characters, and I love this game. *g*

And here's the rest of our gorgeous cast!

Hee. Lastly, I gacked this meme from [personal profile] kendas. It's great, and I've never done one like it before, so.

"One True Pairing" Ship: Harry/Hermione (with huge-ass Viktor/Hermione tendencies)

"One True Threesome" Ship: Harry/Hermione/Ron, with another huge-ass tendency towards Harry/Hermione/Viktor

"One True Slash" Ship: Remus/Sirius, all day long

"Canon" Ship: Viktor/Hermione, all day long

"Not quite canon but should be" ship: Remus/Sirius, Neville/Luna, Harry/Luna, Ron/Luna-- ok, so Luna's a bit of a slag in my canon. *snort*

"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: Ron/Hermione. *shrug* And yes, I'm prepared for the possibility, and will conveniently lose my sporks in July.

"You are one sick bastard" ship: Hah, going to have to say the house-elf fics, like kendas. just... no.

"I'm one sick bastard" ship: Er...I dunno, I read some Weasleycest for the first time a few days ago. I kinda liked it. *hides*

"I dabble a little" 'Ship: Blaise/Hermione. I read it if it's well-done... *cough* like when Inell, Kendas, or Kathryn write it*cough* But I generally get annoyed by the cliches of Sinfully-Alluring!Blaise, or supremely-unconcerned-with-the-fact-that-Hermione's-all-over-him!Blaise.

"It's like a car crash" Ship: Draco/Hermione.

"Tickles my fancy but not sold quite yet" 'Ship: Er...Snape/Remus. Problem is, there's just not much Snape out there that I can read.

"Makes no canon sense but why the hell not" 'Ship: Hermione/Weasleys, except Ron

"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" 'Ship: Draco/Hermione – I can't read it; too much redeemed-for-no-good-reason!Draco and "omg,I'mreallyapureblood"!Hermione. Also Harry/Ginny

"When all is said and done" 'Ship: Harry/Hermione

"Guilty Pleasure" ship: Hermione/Weasleys, except Ron.

"I can't believe I read it and liked it" ship: I usually get that way about Bellatrix or Voldemort fics. I'm surprised when I like those.

"Favourite "Older/Younger" ship: Remus/Hermione

"My first I could never abandon you" ship: Harry/Hermione...sensing a theme, hmm?

Favourite Devotionship: Remus/Sirius or Hermione/Harry

Favourite Nevermetship: Hermione/Tom I guess would kinda count as they’ve never met in canon.

Favourite Pervyship: Hermione/Weasleys, except Ron

Favourite DominanceBattleShip: Oh, I don't know, this could be fun with any ship, depending on circumstance.

And hi, to new LJ friends that I've picked up this week, and to everyone else on my f-list. *hugs you all*

I have to admit I was surprised when you took on three characters too. Hee. but they are all lovely. I'm almost shipping Hermione/Roger, but Blaise get's huffy with me about it.

You have the most beautiful lay out hun. I just love the colours and the header.

But I generally get annoyed by the cliches of Sinfully-Alluring!Blaise, or supremely-unconcerned-with-the-fact-that-Hermione's-all-over-him!Blaise.

Isn't the ship meme fun?

There's only a few Blaise's I can read. You named two of them. Tamlane's is the third. I'm flattered that mine made a mention though. The problem with Blaise is that he is sinfully alluring. :P As a muse he's terribly difficult to break away from because he likes attention and tends to tempt you back. (Except my Blaise is all calm on the surface and a messed up wreck below that only Hermione, and Draco or Terry to a lesser extent, seem able to bring out).

Hense the fact that I spent this afternoon failing to write more of my Seamus/Hermione and instead working on a Draco/Hermione/Blaise. However, I still find myself with the same problem as you. This afternoon I had time to write, but I got out no more than 500 words. I used to be able to write 3000+ in a day no problem.

I fear Shh is stealing my muse.

And now I'm babbling. So I'll finish by saying it's nice to have you as part of my flist now.

A closet Roger/Hermione shipper...lol. *grin* Terry is glaring at Blaise, I'm sure. *g*

And thanks, on the layout. Every time I get the notion to change it, someone comments saying they like it. So I'm keeping it for awhile. *g*

And I've not read Tamlane's Blaise; must do that. (Your Blaise is love, btw.)

And I know!! SHH has my muse bound, gagged and in a corner. lol. But I love SHH, so it's okay. I just hope I can write something soon.

Great to have you on my f-list now, too, sweetie! *hugs*

Meh. I think I'll ship Hermione anyone as long as the relationship is built up well and the characterisations good.

I think that's the problem with Draco/Hermione. I like the ship. Don't read it much now which is the same as Snape/Hermione and for problem the same reasons - the ships too big. I have a tendancy to run from popularity though mainly I think it's because you have to weed through so much crap to find the gems. I have a few authors in the pairings who I like when it comes to both ships and I tend to just stick to them. They never let me down.

Though that's true for most of what I read now. If I try someone new it's useually because of a reccomendation of someone I trust. I think a lack of time has made me an incredibly fussy but broad shipper.

And I've not read Tamlane's Blaise; must do that. (Your Blaise is love, btw.)

Oh you should do. She completely shaped how I saw Blaise both through her fics and conversations with her. My Blaise all all her and inell so I never feel like I should take much credit for him when people like him, though it still makes me blush when they do. Thank you.

Yeah, I'm the same way, really. If the characterisation is consistent and developed well, then it's generally a good story. I've fallen in love with fics I NEVER thought I would because of the ship, but the quality of writing and characterisations won me over.

And yeah, I rarely go looking randomly for fics anymore. I look for recs, primarily, and even then, only reccers that I trust. Even for my OTP, Harry/Hermione, I'll only read what gets rec'ed to me.

The title line of your journal has been bugging me all day - I feel stupid, and contagious. I finally just realised where it was from and had to head my desk for not getting it sooner.

And now I shall stop spamming your entry with inane mumblings.

LOL!

Yes, Nirvana, it is. *grin*

That was me trying to be original, and then just ending up picking a song title, anyway. bah. :p
