thinking of someone for whom he still burns
+ New layout!
Matching profile layout! (Same lame blurb. I'll work on it. :P)
XD It was kind of hard to part with Tom and Joe header, Tom especially, as he's been in my layout in some way for I don't even know how long. *strokes him* But I wanted a change so I went for Being Human, and I wanted something that was fannish but not like over-the-top. For those who don't watch it that's Lenora Crichlow as Annie. New crush? I has it.
/extreme dorkiness
+ Does anyone know how to make a custom navigation bar (with your own colors and/or fonts etc), if you're not using the default layout stylesheet?
+ On the friends-locking front, I've decided I'll keep my journal mostly open and lock some things depending on what's in the post, and based on some of ya'll's input, I'm just going to be more careful what I lock and don't lock. I'm also toying with changing my username, but I don't know; I feel like people won't know who I am anymore. :P (And at the moment, I can't think of anything less lame than what I have.) Anyway, thanks to those who commented to that post. ♥
+ I'm boring today. :P Back to work with me, then going home to thread and write fic.

Anyway, lovely work, bb. I need to get more creative with mine. I think I will now that I know more about CSS and will have a blank slate on my computer when I get it back... *le sigh*
Anyway, love you much!!

What layout style did you use?

I'm trying to figure out how to change where my entry tags show up; that's the only thing that's bugging me.

I think you can simply select custom navbar colours in the customization wizard and it doesn't affect your theme layer. The wizard customizations go into a user layer instead.
Having said that ... before we got that easy option, I had code for custom navbar colours in my custom css box. It was this code:
#lj_controlstrip
{
background-image: none;
background-color: #d4e2f8;
}
#lj_controlstrip td
{
color: #327192;
}
#lj_controlstrip a
{
color: #327192;
}
/* Second cell, Third cell, Log in form */
#lj_controlstrip_user, #lj_controlstrip_userlinks, #lj_controlstrip_login
{
border-right: 2px solid #a2c5e3;
}
/* Fourth cell first line */
#lj_controlstrip_statustext
{
color: #6da6c4;
}
/* First cell */
#lj_controlstrip_userpic
{
background-image: none;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top left;
}
Or, you know, whatever colours work for you! And as you can see, this code's got only the colours, not the font put in, but I think you could probably tweak the fonts in the same piece of code with something like:
font-size: 10pt !important;
font-family: Verdana !important;
put in right after the 'color: #xxxxxx' lines.
Good luck, and I hope I'm not leading you astray! :P At least if you experiment in the custom css box, you can quickly and painlessly take the code right out again if it doesn't work. :)
