Waaaah. (Teach me not to save to my hard drive.)

I lost my freaking jump drive.

My  JUMP DRIVE, people.

I feel sick.

This is bad for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that I had Chapter 5 of Laws of Motion on there, and it was virtually complete, and I was going to come in to work (because I thought I'd left it there), add the last bit to the chapter, and send it to my beta (sorry, Jim) , then hopefully post it tonight or tomorrow morning. And now I may have to write it again. Fuck. And it's not like that's a disaster; it's not like I forgot what it's about, or something, but still. I had, you know, one liners and phrases and little tidbits that I may not be able to remember 100%, and it's just not going to be the same, damn it. 

And I've been having so much trouble with this chapter, and I finally got it to where I had some modicum of happiness with it, and it's been so long since I updated, and I feel sick.

Not to mention various work and class stuff that was on it, and speaking of classes, I might have left it in class last night, dropped it on the floor or something, and if that's the case, well, then I'm likely never going to fucking see it again. 

God, I feel sick.

I'm going to leave work and sneak over to the college and look for it. Maybe someone found it and turned it in. I hope so... doubt it, but I hope so. :/

I'm hoping someone did the good deed for ya - that is to say, I hope someone decided to be a good person and not steal your jump drive at the college.

Hopefully, by some miracle of goodwill (because of the holiday season approaching of course) someone just happened to see it and think, that needs to be turned in to lost and found.

But then I *was* laughing after I was able to get ALL of my files MOVED to my computer's hardrive.

(I didn't mean it was funny that your drive got wasted, of course. But the way you told it was funny, I guess I meant. I definitely wouldn't laugh at that situation, especially now. lol.)

But yeah, here's hoping someone does the right thing, eh? I'll report with my findings on this unplanned social experiment. lol.
