So after a weekend of stewing, I've decided to put my money where my mouth is (fingers are?) and call my local Obama campaign office to volunteer. Here in PA I figure they'll need all the help they can get. There's an office right in Gettysburg, and the guy told me they're actually opening a new office right here in my town, so close I could even walk. There's an organizational meeting on Thursday night, so we'll see how it goes. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this, though I've been making ickle donations to the campaign since about May.

Oh. Oh! Also, I'm participating in this months watcher challenge at erotic_elves and think I hear the pitter-patter of my muse. There may be fic. *bounces*

If I had time, I'd really like to do Obama-y stuff... Find out for me, if you can, if there's something I can do from my office or with what little spare time I have... I'm poor, so monetary donations aren't easy, but I'm definitely excited about Obama. HE MUST WIN.

Good on you! I wish I had the energy to do some volunteering for Obama. I did it for Kerry in 2004 but my life was less complicated then. I did a lot of boots on the ground stuff back then; literally canvassing my neighborhood, a few blocks at a time, and talking to people.

As for erotic_elves challenge, well, I'm tempted but I probably should not give in :O

Well, aside from who the candidate actually is - I'm actually envious of you in a way. I can honestly say I've never had a candidate I believed in enough to support that much. These days I can barely find one I want to take the time to vote for *sigh* /shuts up before she starts talking Canadian politics.

Good for you, and I hope your candidate wins! If nothing else, just for the celebration after ;) - but Obama is a worthy winner. Remember, it will be all because of you, lol.
