Steal my heart and hold my tongue
1. Squee: There is no way Dan and Bonnie will ever look this good together. Oh, you pretty, pretty things. *pets* (why yes, I am filled with OTP gooeyness at the moment; feel free to ignore me. ♥) Y'know, I may love a lot of other pairings. I may write more of them. But I will always come back home to you, BBs. ♥♥♥

road_ahead and I've got a couple recent openings to pimp. Pardon me while I jack Inell's post wholesale:
Millicent Bulstrode (about to finish her NEWTs, trying to figure out what to do with herself after school, and dealing with a widowed father who has recently started dating again), Penelope Clearwater (trying to find her missing family, figuring out what to do with her life), Anthony Goldstein (about to finish his NEWTs and figuring out what to now), Augusta Longbottom (Neville's gran!), and Zach Smith (finishing NEWTs and figuring out his future). All of these characters have in-game interaction and friends around for playing, so there's no worries about not being able to be active.
road_ahead has been going since mid-October last year, and it's active and wonderful. In-game, the students in Harry's year are preparing for NEWTs, which they're being allowed to take in the next two weeks after a vigorous class schedule to prepare them. The Ministry is finishing up trials and investigations into war-time events, and the world is slowly rebuilding and changing. However, not everyone has changed, and there are still problems and concerns in the world. It's especially a great time for a student Harry's age to come into the game, since there are many things changing in the upcoming weeks for them.
The players are a mixture of new to RP and old pros, which provides a great environment for everyone. The emphasis is on characterization and interaction, so it's a wonderful opportunity to develop a character post-DH in a canon-plausible setting. The game focuses on realism versus crack or simply smut/shipping, which isn't for everyone. The Mods are actively involved, so if you prefer an environment where they aren't, it's not the game for you. The Mods will totally help get you up to speed, as will other players! It's really is an amazing cast, and just a lovely creative environment. The application is here, and just needs to be sent to rarmods@gmail.com once complete. Why don't they just say "Hey guys, consider this like the James Bond movies....we just take the title and throw away the rest of the book"?
Seriosly thinking I won't go see the last movies unless I start to see some signs of Matt or Alfie goodness.
And I don't hate Emma (it's not her fault Steve Kloves makes Hermione a one note shrew) but come on....at least make some gesture towards Hermione not caring about her looks. In all the promo's she looks like she just came from a Vogue shoot.

And yeah, they took a LOT of liberties with canon (all the Gryffs in Potions, the love potion thing with Ron, the utter lack of any substantial plot that I've heard of so far, which was the only thing the book had going for it) but that's not too surprising I suppose. I'm probably still going to see it so I can bitch about it after. :P
Hee, I'm looking forward to Matt and especially Alfie as well. Also, yes, Emma looks probably a little (a lot) more gorgeous than she should. LOL. Not to mention how relatively unattractive they made Lavender look. But maybe that's just the nasty expression on her face.
