A Rec

There have been SO many amazing posts and threads at [livejournal.com profile] road_ahead over the past week that all deserve to be mentioned. I am so insanely proud of this game and everyone in it.

But this post ... For anyone who was at all affected by Fred's death in DH, if you read one post from the game, make it this one. God. It just had me sobbing. It's just an introspective in George's POV. You don't have to follow the RPG, or read any other post in it, to understand it. It's just such a raw, poignant, heartbreaking post about a brother coming to terms with the loss of his twin. Trust me; it's very, very ouchy, but you'll be glad you read it.

Oh, I'm totally with you. Like Inell, I read it this morning (though not right before I went to work, fortunately) and I was close to sobbing. The fact that George hadn't been there when Fred died just made it worse, IMO. *wibbles*

Kudos to the RAR Mods for picking such a brilliant George :)

I want to read it, but on the other hand I don't. Might brave it when I eventually make it that far! I think I'm still right at the beginning. :D I have a lot of catching up to do! Already.

*clings* I totally understand having to brave it. It's so good, though -- and you don't have to be caught up to understand it completely. Yay for catching up, though! *grin*

Sorry!

I am not exactly following the game (sorry, but I can’t take another OBHWF or suddenly Slash!Harry.), but I read the post. It was really touching and well written. I wasn’t too affected by Fred’s death in the book- I was so annoyed with the book that I only want that thing to end.

But whoever is George in this game, he/she gave Fred a ‘homage’ he truly deserved.

Heart breaking.

Ha. I'm playing Harry, so I'm thinking that suddenly-slashy!Harry might not be the most likely thing to happen.

But you totally don't have to follow the game for that post to make sense. It was so lovely and perfect. :)

Yes, it was beautiful and perfect. And I liked it more because it wasn’t ‘forced’ or ‘sappy’. Just in the right tone.

Very good indeed.

Well, between OBHWF and slashy Harry- I guess I would prefer Slashy Harry (or even Kreatcher/Harry- O.o er, but better not, huh?)
I’m following and not following the game (if it makes sense). I liked that part where Harry went to see Severus’ portrait!
In the beginning I was so slow that I thought, who is this sevart person? LOL.

^.^

Yes, it felt very real, and that was the best part. -sob-

Haha, well in RP you have to do what the characters want. I'm not personally inclined toward OBHWF at all, of course. :/ And hee! Our Portrait!Severus is just perfect. Harry still thinks he's a prat, though. For the most part. ;)
