IT WAS AWESOME

Splitting it in two was a GOOD call and I kind of want to send Steve Kloves flowers and I have SO MANY FEELINGS

I won't be home for much of Friday or Saturday so I probably won't make my review post until Sunday (when I'll probably see it again), but in the meantime I am so happy with it!

I did in fact cry all over myself. Twice, maybe two and a half times tbh.

I've never been so pleased on SO many levels by an HP film! As an adaptation, as a film, and the performances... just SO UNBELIEVABLY WELL-DONE.

For me the best ever was the third movie (ALFONSO CUARON. AN ACTUAL DIRECTOR. WHO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE MOVIES. WHOSE WORK I ADORE.), but I never though I'd like another film after that. And this one, holy fuck, I ACTIVELY LIKE. It's now my second favorite after #3. And this is considering what they had to work with in DH part 1 vs. The Prisoner of Azkaban.

PoA was absolutely my fave adaptation and this MIGHT give it a run for its money. Yates could NEVER touch Cuaron as a director, and I'll always be in love the clever way the timey-wimey stuff was adapted and shot for PoA, but this film was truer to the books than any of the others considering the sheer amount they had to include, and the acting was ace (god particularly pleased/impressed with Emma), and the relationship dynamics within the Trio (my favorite part of DH) beautifully portrayed.
