to be or not to be

In case anyone on my f-list hasn't heard yet, Livejournal will be deleting suspended and inactive journals/communities soon. So if any of you have comms, RP journals, or alternate journals you haven't updated or logged into for 24 consecutive months, it'd be a good idea to log in and make a post to keep them alive. ETA: LJ has clarified that they'll only delete accounts that show obvious signs of inactivity - no posts or comments, that sort of thing.

So much for archiving.

HP fandom's especially relevant because of the sheer number of comms and fests that are here on LJ, some of them quite old. I've got at least 8-9 RP accounts to say nothing of the RPG comms and fest thingums with Inell and Flora - so we might be posting to those in rapid succession, in case anyone is watching them.

On the other hand, deletions of suspended accounts might mean some usernames will be up for grabs again. Which means I'm once again having my periodic LJ identity crisis. Still want to change my username, still hesitating for fear people won't know who I am anymore, rinse lather repeat.

How strange would it be if I could just grab heather when it's purged? Would that be weird? Or should I go with a total change? hrrrrmmmm.

*waffles* OPINIONS WELCOME. If I stick to pattern I may not end up changing anything at all, haha.

+ I'm almost caught up with Fringe. LOVE IT. I'm adding it to my list of things to post about eventually. Those of you following me on tumblr will hopefully forgive the crappy picspams until I get it out of my system.

+ In other news, I'm seeing Inception tonight. I CAN'T WAIT. JGL. And, y'know, some other people. Here's a vid of him being ridiculously wonderful on Letterman last night.

They've edited it so that it's anyone who hasn't logged in in two years AND doesn't have more than one post. So it's really only any journals you've used to comment but not post with (though the comments claim that comments=activity), so RP journals are the ones most likely to be caught in that, as opposed to once-active fic comms.

SPOILER ALERT: I LOVED IT.

And that's all I'll say except that I wouldn't fear the internet too much before you see it - it's kind a hard film to be accidentally spoiled for, which is good!

I'm going to see it again tomorrow and then I'll probably write a review.

Ahahaha I've only been away from my precious internet for four days, which I predict has run me up a sizable phone-bill on my iPhone come next month. Not sure how long the movie will take getting to my tiny corner of the world *woe*
