OotP OMG

-Super Ginny: She barely said or did anything, unless she was glaring at Cho or throwing spells that made everyone around her gasp and flail in the face of her awesomeness. -retch- And she cast her Patronus before Hermione. Um. What?

-Ron/Hermione: Yeah. Definite manufactured scenes between those two that didn't happen in the book. But whatever. I've made my peace.

-Harry/Hermione: Nothing very shippy to report, unfortunately, considering the H/Hr-ness of the book. If it wasn't clear before that it's going to be R/Hr and H/G, then the obvious setting-up of both those ships in this movie should clinch it. That said, what scenes there were with Harry and Hermione were fantastic. Dan and Emma have great chemistry.

-Dumbledore's Army: Awesome. Filled my chest with happy feelings as that whole thing progressed. Made of win, except, erm, Levicorpus? Seriously? Maybe I didn't hear that right.

-Occlumency: Not long enough, but great scenes. The Marauders flashback was short, but that's just as well, imo because I didn't like the casting choices. And the aspect of Harry's dad not being perfect wasn't explored at all, which I felt was a big deal in canon. But, they couldn't include everything.

-The Advance Guard: Fine, but they were flying a bit low over London, considering they weren't Disillusioned as in the book. Haha. I mean, uh. They were flying past boats, right over the water, then proceeded to stand on a Muggle street with their robes and broomsticks.

-Thestrals: OMGYAY. Exactly how I imagined. :D

-Sirius: Feeling ambivalent about him. I mean, he was good enough and I loved his scene at Grimmauld over Christmas with Harry, but I'm ambivalent about whether he was hot or not with the hair and clothes. haha! (There should actually be no ambivalence considering the hotness that is canon Sirius, but I digress.)

-Not much screentime for: Bellatrix, McGonagall, Lucius, Snape, Tonks, and and and. What I did see of all of them was fantastic. Especially Bella. And Snape. And Lucius.

-Remus was useless.

-Jesus Christ, Lucius. Jesus Christ. (*gurgles* Jason Isaacs is teh sex, even if he *does* have tiny, chunky hands.)

-Big Fight Scene: Pretty. Don't know how anyone who'd not read the book could have known what the hell was going on, but. Pretty. Sirius' Death was fairly anticlimactic and I disliked that he was AK-ed. Harry's reaction to his death and the seething pit of angst that had me crying for pages and pages when I read the book was, for the most part, absent. But the moment when he was killed and the silence and slow-motion while Bella ducked out was gorgeous. Voldemort and Dumbledore's fight was pretty too. Not much more than that.

-Posession scene: FTW. I actually shed tears. God, I love Harry. He’s an emo asshat sometimes, but god. –hugs him tight- Great job, Dan.

-Teaspoon scene: I'm glad it was there; I'm not AS squeeful about how it was played as most of my f-list seems to be. I remember Hermione being more waspish when she said that, not so much giggling fondly at Ron.

-Kingsley: So utterly NOT how I've ever imagined him.

Dumbledore: What can I say? Michael Gambon is a loser.

-The Ministry: Not at all like I imagined it, but that’s not a bad thing. It was incredibly cool, actually. But almost Orwellian, right? I mean, damn. At first glimpse it was like textbook fascist pep-rally. Huge moving picture of Fudge on the wall and everything.

-Umbridge. Staunton rocked as Umbridge. Full-stop. I wish there'd have been more of the teacher appraisals, or at least one of the scenes with McGonagall (Career Advice or the classroom scene). But the bit we saw in Snapes class was brilliant. Rickman's "...Obviously. *snarl*" For. The. Win.

-Rita: OH, wait. No Rita. (who would have been awesome to see with Hermione post beetle-ness.) Sigh.

-Draco: Virtually absent. No comment.

-Fred and George: Brilliant, and I'm thrilled that they got so much screen time. <3

-Fucking-A, Luna. (ladflajf;adjdklja;sfjafjdkjdk omg great.) Though, she did come off a bit childlike, to me, in a way that I think they could have avoided and still kept her ethereal-ness. BUT overall I really, really loved her and it was one of the best supporting performances and probably THE best (or second best) younger performance. Plus. Uh. Harry/Luna scenes? So. Much. Love.

-Dean: OMG. I mean, he had like 2 lines, but. ADORABLE.

-Marry me, Neville. He was so quietly, nervously brave and did so much considering no gum wrapper scene, etc.

-The Kiss: Eh. Cho as the snitch: didn't like that at all. heh.

-Emma ... *sigh* Oh, Emma. So much potential. And too cute. But dude. Needs experience beyond HP, maybe, because she's not really improving and delivers her lines inconsistently. Sometimes she sounds good, sometimes sounds stilted and unnatural, complete with bouncing eyebrows o' doom. I'll concede that in this film I saw less of the latter.

-Dan: Muchly Improved, great acting, Posession scene made me tear up and was FAR more compelling than Sirius' death and Trelawney's sacking combined.

-Rupert: Greatly improved. Very Ron, and I wish he'd have had more screen time. I'm sorry that they couldn't fit in anything about Percy beyond having him walk into two scenes on the side of the Ministry, because it was kind of a big thing when Ron got the letter. And most non-readers probably wouldn't even notice it was Percy because he's been absent from most of the previous films.

-The film as a whole: The pacing was unbelievable. Heh. Every minute; there went like three chapters. Which, I totally understand. Taken apart from the books, it was very enjoyable and as good as GoF. A lot of things missing, but I had a great time watching it and it had some priceless moments.

Your review it's great! And I agree with you in so many points :)

Dumbledore: What can I say? Michael Gambon is a loser. IAW this so much but I have to say that he was kind of nice when he was watching exorcist!Harry.

And the H/Hr scenes were great and yes! the H/L scenes were beautiful too. And damn you said it all! ^_^

Hee! Oh, that whole possession scene for me was sooo good. Even Dumbledore, I'll concede. haha!
