this is a television post

+ I'm loving all the Doctor Who squee on my f-list over the weekend! Seems to have been a hit with many people - dedicated fans, newbies, people who loved Ten, people who didn't love Ten, people who've stuck with it and people who are just splashing back into it (*raises hand*). I think this will make the Merlin hiatus much more fun. *g*

+ I'm currently behind on a lot of shows on account of some epic watches/rewatches of old shows and old seasons of shows. Right now I'm working my way through Deadwood, Rome, and past seasons of Big Love for screencapping purposes. Man I love HBO.

+ I'm behind on: The Pacific (2 eps), Damages (1 ep, maybe?), Justified (2 eps), Project Runway (1 ep, I think), American Idol (who honestly cares, I'm bored with it), Vampire Diaries (1 ep), Legend of the Seeker ('bout 3 eps), Gossip Girl (I don't know, I'm bored with that too).

I really like The Pacific for being a gorgeous production with a pretty soundtrack and great acting, but I'm not as engrossed in it as I was with Band of Brothers or Gen Kill. Yet, anyway - it's only been four episodes! And I do really like it - I'm in love with a couple of the characters.

Damages is kicking ass (Ellen and Patty are the baddest), Vampire Diaries is a favorite but is on notice for the absence of a certain someone for the past couple eps), Justified is worth it just for Timothy Olyphant's face, and I've been putting off PR because I hear I might be disappointed by recent developments.

+ Speaking of HBO, what I'm really looking forward to is Treme - David Simon's (of The Wire, aka The Best Television Show Ever) latest vehicle set in 2005 New Orleans. Next Sunday! *\o/*

+ On deck: Ashes to Ashes and Spartacus: T & A (for the crack factor and yes, I know what it's rly called).

+ IN SHORT: TOO MUCH TELEVISION. And considering 1) how gorgeous the weather's getting (making it unappealing to stay inside) 2) loads of new books and fics to read and 3) the fact I've got to start doing yardwork again, I might be behind on things for quite a while yet.

What're y'all watching?

Nothing on TV right now, although you've just reminded me that I wanted to have a gander at DWTS (mostly because I want to see what they did to Evan Lysacek, ahahahahhah!) and play some catch-up on ABDC. *g*

If you're talking movies as well, I have A Frozen Flower and Confucius sitting on my hard drive waiting to be watched (and Red Cliff and Ai no Kotodama to be rewatched, heh...)!
Edited (dance show fail, dammit.) 2010-04-05 20:50 (UTC)

Right now is a very good time to get into (or back into) Doctor Who, I think.

I'm behind on almost everything, but I'm currently watching Supernatural, The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, Human Target, Doctor Who, and Chuck. I'm also trying to slowly catch up on the episodes of S2 I missed of Leverage as they repeat.
goodbyebird: Batman returns: Catwoman seen through a glass window. (TB Teacup-humans)

ooo I didn't know Treme was only two weeks away! *loves on HBO with you* Can you believe I still haven't seen the third season of deadwood? It's like I'm trying to postpone the end of the series. The DVDs just sit there all glossy and unopened :p

And there can never be enough television! *nodnod* I'm also watching Breaking Bad and The Good Wife, bot highly recommended ♥
