So everyone's recasting genre stuff (and some non-genre stuff!) with PoCs, and I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. Having just marathoned all the extended versions, LotR was fresh in my mind, so. I give you:

How are you so brilliant? I gazed at Jason=Aragorn for a while (oh, yes, you had me at Jason), thought 'how can this get any better', then scrolled to Takeshi=Legolas and wept for joy (his voice+looks=perfect).

Then I kept going and my awe increased. Your Frodo and Sam have the perfect hobbit-hair. Everything is indeed better with Colin Salmon ... and Vanessa Williams, and Morgan Freeman, and Angel Coulby, and ...

Okay, I'll stop now.

(why oh why didn't you put the pics in this post too so I could add it to my Dreamwidth memories without having to do an extra click to get the goodies? :( Not complaining, though ... the post is too glorious for that!)

Ah, just thought of something. I've always pictured Eowyn as being very tall, actually able to pass for a male Rider, which I don't think Angel can do (too short and slight). I don't suppose you'd consider her for a genderswapped Merry instead? She's got the hair! And then she can still help take down the Witchking.

But then who should be Eowyn? *ponders*

Eeeee, I'm glad you liked! I'm sorry I didn't crosspost; it was just so image-heavy and I usually like fanworky stuff to be in one place. (Okay; I was really just too lazy to do the extra coding for the usernames at half-three in the morning

So, I am like ... HOPELESSLY MARRIED to the idea Angel!Eowyn, though I definitely approve of genderswapping Merry. ALSO, I couldn't bring myself to break up the epic adorableness that is Gael/Diego for Pippin and Merry.
