Shipping Meme responses, part one

Merlin

+ OTP: It's hard to choose, but Gwen/Morgana is probably my closest-to-favorite as they're the first pairing that jumped at me as I watched. I see it everywhere; even in last episode that barely even HAD Morgana I made up subtext. So yeah, they're my favorite. It's just. Flowers, guys. Hugs in the middle of the night. Angst. And the fact that if you mess with Gwen, Morgana will END YOU. (Or at the very least get herself thrown in the dungeons, hatch an assassination plot, and back out once you apologise and say you probably won't do it again. Whatever, the point is she loves Gwen to extremes. ♥)
+ Runner-up: Arthur/Gwen/Merlin/Morgana
+ Honorable mention(s): Arthur/Gwen, Merlin/Morgana, Arthur/Gwen/Merlin, Arthur/Merlin, Uther/Morgana, Gwen/Merlin
+ Crack pairing(s): Uther/Nimueh, Hunith/Dragon
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: This one's hard - there aren't many ships I don't enjoy for this fandom, but my love for Arthur/Morgana (outside of the OT4 or threesomes) is fading for a couple different reasons. I'll work through it. :P

Harry Potter

+ OTP: Harry/Hermione/Ron - my first and favorite OT3. I have a thing for friends who become more, for 'brothers-in-arms', and I used to OTP Harry/Hermione but at some point I started to wonder why Ron should be left out. They balance so nicely as three. Also, I think JKR ships them. ;) DH was a love letter to the Trio and all its permutations. And honestly. Harry kills Voldemort and Ron and Hermione are the first people he wants. And then they go eat sandwiches. ♥
+ Runner-up: Well, H/Hr was my first-ever OTP, so I have to mention them here. I think the way they interact is so special.
+ Honorable mention(s): James/Sirius(/Lily), Dean/Seamus, Harry/Ron, Harry/Luna, Charlie/Hermione, Charlie/Harry
+ Crack pairing(s): Haha. Uh. hard to define crack in HP fandom, you have to go pretty far out there to reach it. :P But for me, hm... Snape/Luna?
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: I don't think there's anything everyone seems to like in this fandom, but Draco/Hermione is one popular pairing that I can't even begin to read. Not even post-DH. I just don't see it, but I guess it's just not a trope I like.

Dollhouse

+ OTP: Victor/Sierra. I've never shipped anything so adorable while being SO wrong at the same time. It's compelling, idk.
+ Runner-up: Dewitt/Dominic. I'm not sure how this will change, not sure if Dominic will be back. But I loved their relationship.
+ Honorable mention(s): Claire/Topher would be so fantastically dysfunctional, Claire/Boyd would be so fantastically sweet, Claire/Echo would be tense and amazing, Claire/Adelle would be hot as hell and possibly antagonistic, Claire/Anyone basically.
+ Crack pairing(s): Adelle/Victor (so so wrong I know but oh god), and the last episode makes me wonder about Adelle/Paul in a D/S sort of way. She puts him in his place. ;)
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Paul/Echo(Caroline). Creeps me out immensely.

Star Trek

+ OTP: Spock/Uhura. I just love them. Haven't exactly read it in a while, though...
+ Runner-up: Kirk/McCoy
+ Honorable mention(s): Uhura/Gaila, Kirk/Gaila, Sulu/Chekov, Uhura/McCoy (pre-Spock), Spock/McCoy (in the reboot it is way more hatesexy than Kirk/Spock), Gaila/Scotty engineering love. Also have a special love of Kirk/McCoy/Uhura/Spock as an OT4, there's a beautiful symmetry there between the Kirk/McCoy and Spock/Uhura dynamic that I think would translate well to poly. As long as it's not just an excuse to get Kirk and Spock into bed together. :P
+ Crack pairing(s): Hm. Pike/Kirk? Is that very cracky? I've read more out-there stuff at the kink meme, for sure.
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Kirk/Spock. I see the subtext but by the end of the reboot I just didn't ship it.

BSG

+ OTP: Helo/Athena. I'm such a sucker for them. On such an angsty show I just clung to the idea of them staying happy and in love despite the obstacles and I'm so glad they were okay. Also, I found Athena compelling from beginning to end.
+ Runner-up: Caprica/Boomer. Robot OTP, baby. (I just love Caprica so much, and she was really hot in her interactions with Boomer I thought.
+ Honorable mention(s): Roslin/Adama, Kara/Sam
+ Crack pairing(s): Roslin/Gaius. She's the only person I ship him with. He would beg her to punish him, okay? And she'd keep the glasses on. (I'm sorry.)
+ Ship everyone else seems to like, but I don't: Lee/Kara. I understand how compelling the dysfunction is, but I never read more than siblings into their interactions, I mean, when they weren't shagging. I don't know, I just didn't buy it. All the while I kept thinking of the people they were hurting. The writers didn't do them any favors making them so unsympathetic when it came to their spouses. The writers weren't doing anyone any favors toward the end, though.
