oh dear CHRIST
In other words, I have seen Merls 2x02. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START, YA'LL. LIKE I'M GOING TO HAVE TO WATCH IT AGAIN. AND THEN AGAIN.
IN OTHER NEWS I AM SLOWLY DEMORPHING INTO A TWELVE-YEAR OLD OVER THIS SILLY, SILLY SHOW. IDEK.
+ANGEL COULBY WINS AT EVERYTHING EVER.
SHE HAD LINES, YOU GUYS.
LINES.
And they were awesomely delivered. I love the progression of it - she went from subservient, to increasingly exasperated, to OMG YOU JACKASS, and then warmed to him in a totally different way, and I loved every last second she was on screen. She's grown up, she's less fumbly (yet still trips over her words a little bit like at the dinner table). I'm dying here, I want Gwen fic forever. I want missing scenes. I want to see how Merlin convinced her to help, I want to see what Morgana said to her after she ran down from the bleachers in front of UTHER AND GOD AND EVERYBODY. It was SO GOOD to get a little bit more of a glimpse into her life. (And her house!! And she doesn't have a bathtub! Obviously, obviously she uses Morgana's, Y/Y/MFY??)

Also, she? Is flipping GORGEOUS.
+ AND ARTHUR. I love him SO MUCH. So noble but such a prat, and SUCH A DORK OMG. THE COOKING. He tried, you guys! Sort of. And character development, BWEEE. I love that he wasn't perfect, that he didn't learn right away, and even when he did, it was about not taking credit for the jousting. It would've been way too big a leap for him to start doing chores. So that worked well for me.
BUT OH GOD THE A/G. LIKE. I shipped them before, so I was predisposed to squeeage, but I DID NOT EXPECT THIS LEVEL OF AWESOME. They're so awkward, guys, and he doesn't know how to act around her, and she can't help but speak up, and he's so gentle with her, and their chemistry is so, so special, oh my god. I don't even know how to describe it, but Bradley and Angel own my soul right now. Every pairing has a different sort of chemistry and I love the way they play off each other particularly.
Going into the episode, from the trailers and what they were wearing, I was sort of expecting the kiss to happen, but expecting it to be a dream or something, because OMG HI TOO SOON.
But... it worked. It worked that way, because they were so awkward, and they really DON'T know what to say to each other, Arthur especially, but there were all these feelings, and then their hands brushed as she gave him her token, and when he leant down it was just -- impulsive, it felt impulsive, and that's why it worked for me. And obviously nothing can come of it right now anyway and that's also why it didn't feel rushed. Because it can't go any further. Not only that, it was probably the sweetest freaking kiss I've ever seen. And that LOOK between them at the end. And also they secret smile at court. There is so much nuance in both Bradley's and Angel's expressions all the time, basically.
AND IDGAF THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL. BEAUTIFUL YOU GUYS. I COULD GO ON.

+ LOL MERLIN YOU POOR LITTLE TOASTER I LOVE YOU. He's so put-upon, seriously, I honestly think the writers are doing it for the lulz and because it's a kids' show, but I also wonder if it's leading somewhere.
+ Myror was such a badass. Adrian lester is a scenery chewer, for reals.
+ GILBERT FUN!!!! He was so adorable, and he made Gwen giggle, I loved it.
+ THE JOUSTING WAS EPIC. I said it last week but I love that the show is stretching its bigger budget, everything was beautiful.
+ I needed more Morgana, kind of a lot. BUT NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE LOOKS SO AMAZING I AM SURE I WILL BE BACK HERE FLAILING OMG.
