AAAAAAHHHHHH CLIFFHANGERS. Sorry to my friends on Twitter who had to suffer my frustrated outburst at 2am. XP But seriously, from week to week the suspense kills me.

Otherwise, AWESOME episode for the most part. I loved Jason this week; he's dumb as rocks but was kind of adorable and badass. and LOL paintball.

Godric was not what I expected, but that's okay I think. I still ship him with Eric. I can see where they're going with potential Eric/Sookie, but I'm not really that excited for it. I like Sookie, but am apathetic about who she ends up with; I always have been whether it's Bill or Sam or Eric or what. One of the things I loved about season 1 was how strong she was outside of her relationships with men and I wish we got to see more of that this season.

I'm officially sick of crazy-ass MaryAnn, living in Sookie's house and manipulating Tara. I want her dead and I want Tara free of her. And as hot as Eggs is, I'm still shipping Sam/Tara and besides, I'm pretty sure Eggs killed the pig-girl. :/

ETA: How could I not mention Eric's Southern twang? Jesus man, stop making me love you more, my heart is only so big.



Okay, unpopular fannish opinion time:

I LOVE Jessica. I like Hoyt. But I am a little tired of Jessica/Hoyt, and leaning towards being a bit turned off by it. It was sweet and innocent at first, but I think now that they're shagging I'm a little weirded out. Jessica is sixteen or seventeen, right? And Hoyt's like 28. He's a grown man who lives with his mother who doesn't want him seeing girls and expects him to check in with her. His boyishness is charming to a certain point, but I'm sorry, that mama's boy shit is only cute on television.

They're almost overly sweet, but I feel like Jessica could do better. Also, OMG the perpetual virginity. That SUCKS.

I'm sad to say that the Perpetual Virginity thing, although perfectly logical, is a really stupid storyline. So is she going to go all Claudia from Interview with the Vampire and be bitter and angry? Whatevs.

Love Godric. There's more to what's going on than him suddenly deciding he's a hippie vampire, I know there is. And Eric's hick routine? MADE OF WIN.

Good ep all around, but I'm ready to get past a lot of this stuff now. I'm with you on the Sookie ambivalence. I'm severely bored with her and Bill as a couple. I like the characters individually, but together, bleh.

I can't see where the perpetual virginity thing could possibly go from here or what they intend to do with it if anything. You're right that it's logical, but it wasn't necessary for sense-making. Not to get squicky on you, but some girls don't have intact hymens by that age for plenty of non-sexual reasons. So they could've ignored that detail unless they plan to use the information for some future plot or something. *shrug*

I was trying to think of a way to describe him and hippie-vampire is PERFECT. I'm also hoping there's more going on than that, though. I liked it, but I can imagine after a certain point it will get annoying and I'll be like "oh christ just kill something already; it's what you do", because something's wrong with me obviously. XP
