On fail

+ I don't think I need to inform anyone about Amazon Fail (Amazon's MASSIVE FUCKING FAIL is more fitting but doesn't roll off the tongue quite so smoothly) by now, but I just want to say for the record, Glitch, my arse.

+ Reasons number 32424 and 32425 why Twitter is not silly or banal, and is, in fact, awesomesauce.

+ Also, I think my credit card is glitching. Seems to be preventing me from spending money on Amazon.com (something I used to do a lot). And shit, would you look at that? My mouse is glitching. I seem to've accidentally canceled a pre-order, and cleaned out my Wish Lists.

Huh.

+ ETA: Google Bomb: Amazon Rank

+ Determined Gwen and Morgana are determined in my mood theme for this post. I like it.

+ On that note, Happy Monday everyone! XD

I was wondering what the HELL everyone was talking about with the massive Amazon Fail posts on twitter yesterday. Now I know. I'm totally with you all. Am disappointed in Amazon. Which services are you now using or will you use to order stuff online?

I haven't decided what I'd use from now on, but I've not given it that much thought because I don't buy anything I really need from there anyway; just books, dvds, videogames, that sort of thing. It's not essential that I have Amazon and can I get that stuff anywhere, online or not. Amazon was just convenient.

But hey, if Amazon decides to act right and sort this 'glitch' out? Then I'll probably give them my business again.

i told one of my gay friends about this last night, & his response was 'i'm not going to stop using amazon'...honestly, i can't bring myself to stop over this either - perhaps if they had removed LGBT stuff altogether i'd be singing a different tune, but i dunno, this seems kind of small potatoes to me

I think it's a pretty big slap in the face when you consider that almost the only books that DO show up on Amazon searches after they stripped the rankings are those which talk about preventing homosexuality, and such.

That said, if it really is a hacker or a glitch that caused the problem (not really buying that, but for the sake of argument) and the folks over at Amazon straighten it out quickly and put the rankings back, then I'll be using the service again.
