get a roof

I saw Iron Man 2! Been looking forward to it.

THAT WAS RLY GOOD. I'm not sure if it was as good as the first on every level, but I had just as much fun as last time.

+ I miss Terrence Howard. Don Cheadle was really good though! And I love that Rhodie's friendship with Tony was such an important part of the film throughout.

+ Plot wasn't as tight as the first time but I was okay with that overall, because the film was so very character-driven and it did all that sort of thing quite well. The a-plot wasn't as important as the subplot of getting to see Tony hit bottom, self-sabotage, and come back from it, rebuilding his relationships (or try, haha) -- AND, realizing he's not in this alone. I love stories where the hero realises how much he/she needs people. As a side note, 's why I will always love Harry Potter - not just the series or various supporting characters, but I love Harry himself for that growth.

+ HAY ROGER STERLING. You look better as your silver foxy self.

+ Mickey Rourke was GREAT. Genuinely creepy, formidable and smart. Love a smart villain. His interplay with Sam Rockwell, who constantly underestimated him, was pretty brilliant, and Sam Rockwell did a pretty good job playing the humour up but also making me believe he really could be dangerous - in the future perhaps, even.

+ The sound and the effects were V V GOOD. I saw it in digital projection which is apparently better than regular projection? idk. Very fun to watch.

+ I liked Scarlett Johanssen/Black Widow a lot actually. Really happy Tony didn't sleep with her and I don't think she would've slept with him (I think that martini scene was a test). The last movie would've been fine for that but not this one because Pepper's the one. FOREVERRRRR.
And I like how the movie kept going back to that. Also, Black Widow was badass plain and simple. 'Member when she took out a hallway full of dudes in the time it took Happy to dispatch one? Because I remember that. Twas awesome.

+ Crazy about Pepper Potts: CEO. CRAZY ABOUT HER. Love when she got genuinely sick of him and the mess he was making, and I love Tony's fumbling attempts at getting her to forgive him. I love that he made her an omelet himself (AND IT WAS BURNT AT ONE END). Love that he slowly realized how much he needs her and takes her for granted, and he bought her strawberries but OF COURSE didn't know she allergic to them. Love that she helped save the day (that everyone did) and that Justin realised she was not to be fucked with. Love that she quit but then Tony didn't accept it.

THEN THEY MADE OUT

Haha did I mention I loved Don Cheadle? In that scene especially.

And then Tony told SamuelLJackson (who was also pretty good) that he was in a relationship. <333

Yeah, I reallyreally liked that movie. Kind of want an icon or two.

Stayed to the end credits. BY THE HAMMER OF THOR.

*insert Anchorman macro*

They didn't show the Inception trailer as I heard they would/did from other people, but I watched it later online and OH MY GOD. *____*

Also, WHO DAY. :D

Man, you're humping all over this movie. Get a roof.
